Bunny Biscuits

 

Spring is here and Easter is just around the corner.   The Easter Bunny will be here soon and these cute biscuits are a great way greet the holiday.

This simple recipe uses canned biscuits and gives them a creative and festive makeover. Let the kids help with this recipe or save them for a surprise at the brunch table.

Ingredients
  1. 1-(8-count) can refrigerator biscuits, reduced fat
  2. 2 oz reduced-fat cheddar cheese slices
  3. 1 red bell pepper
  4. 10 peppercorns
Instructions
  1. Cut half of 1 biscuit into 3 pieces to make the ears and tie for each “bunny.” Use the remaining half as the face.
  2. Assemble the “bunny” biscuits and bake according to the directions on the can.
  3. Cut the cheese into “whiskers” and “eyes” and apply to biscuits before they cool completely. While cheese is slightly melted, apply peppercorns. Use a bit of red pepper for the “nose”.
